Subwoofer Power

The included vented enclosure in the TNP112D party pack features a single 12" subwoofer designed to deliver 400 watts of Peak power. The unit features Spider Plateau Venting mechanically cooling to ensure cool air is targeted at the voice coil. Additionally, the subwoofer features a high roll rubber surround capable of handling the extreme levels of excursion.

Enclosure Technology

The TNP112D features 5/8" MDF (medium density fiberboard) construction finished with aviation grade carpet ensuring durability. The integrated vent delivers excellent SPL from a small enclosure.

Amplify Your World

The TNP112D includes a single channel amplifier capable of delivering 200 watts RMS power to the included enclosure. An extruded aluminum heatsink helps dissipate heat and the small chassis design makes it easy to install anywhere.

Great starter combo, but under powered amp

I purchased this combo in October 2016, and finally got around to installing it. Something of concern is that as I write this review (1/11/2017), the amp's specs detailed by Crutchfield list the power as being 200 watts at 4 ohms; instead of 200 at 2 ohms, rather. So its actually cranking out 100 w at 4 ohms. I bought it to replace a 10" Alpine SWS-1043D paired up to an Alpine MRP-M450, and I must say that the bass is not quite there. After figuring out that the MTX amp is seriously lacking in power, I plan to run the MTX sub with my old Alpine amp. Also it'd be nice if the sub was a dual voice coil speaker, would make for a more versatile component.

Wicked subwoofer package for the money

Had this subwoofer in my '89 Volvo 740 sedan for about a year and a half now. With 200W RMS, even in this heavy, solid car with an inclosed trunk it works VERY well. I have no desire to upgrade, this gives me all the bass I am looking for, enough to vibrate the door mirrors and various outside pieces of the car (gas door, taillights, license plate depending on the pitch). Highly recommend, especially for the price.

Good little system just what i wanted to add a good thump to my truck. Fits perfect in ford ranger double cab, for me atleast, i am 5'11" and have it behind my seat nice and snug.
