99 dollar speakers are better than 39 dollar speakers.
I almost want to change my review of the kenwoods I had prior. These are far better than the kenwoods in every way. They do cost 99 vs 39 through.   According to Crutchfield they don't fit my 2024 mirage, but they fit just fine. The woofers are much larger than many 6.5s though and may require the supplied spacers which could be a problem for some applications. Smooth sound, and much improved bass over the kenwoods.

Great crisp clear sound. Good quality speakers if you don't have amp it's definitely an upgrade from the stock speakers. You pay for what you get.

    Bumps
Installed these beauts in a 2017 Subaru Legacy and used factory head unit without any upgrades.  WOW! What a difference these speakers made. Got the bumps and sound I was missing.  I'm sure these would shine brighter with an amp but if your looking for an inexpensive high quality factory upgrade these MTX thunder65 are perfect. (Bass lows are great)

They are nice speakers, but I feel like they don't really get any louder than my Rockford Fosgates that costed half as much as my mtx

Handles extra wattage and sound great doing so
Considering cost, I am happy with the results; however, I must say these are only slightly better than stock. Adding power makes a big difference, and these can handle the extra watts where stock could not, thus better than stock for little investment.

    Good solid coax
I've got these 6.5" speakers in the bed of my truck for playing music when I'm at car shows. They're getting around 100 watts each and sound fine!

Excellent mid range drivers. Great bass reproduction and crisp treble. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Well worth the money paid.

    6.5 with bass
I have these on all 4 doors powered by a Alpine KTP-445U amplifier. Sound clarity is good. I get no bright nor harsh tones from the tweeters. Voices are clear with no muffled sound. My amp gains were adjusted to my deck's output using a SMD DD1. The description of these speakers is correct: you will think you have a small subwoofer in your car.

Bass from these speakers is impressive. I sealed all openings on my doors with sound deadening material. I'm using 3/4" MDF mounting brackets and I also have foam padding behind the speaker and the inside door frame. These modifications has greatly improved bass and mid-tones by eliminating sound distortion caused by hollow doors and road noise.
