Speakers are good quality. They sound pretty good to replace stock speakers. If you want something louder or more bass look for a different brand. Install wasn't great, Crutchfield provides instructions and some mounting plates but the plates didn't line up with the stock holes for my 09 Wrangler. This was fr the front and rear speakers. Tweeters went in fine and were not an issue. I would go with a vehicle specific website in the future. Crutchfield has been great for newer models but for older cars maybe not.

Speakers sound great; my complaint is the speakers I received had obviously been returned previously and repackaged before being shipped to me. Upon installation, the connections from the main speakers, to the "tweetes", were malformed due to what looked like excessive factory applied solder. This issue made it impossible to use the factory supplied comnectors; I was able clean the connections and successfully solder the connection myself.

Speakers are great...sound amazin...only problem was on one tweeter the wires fell of & had to resolder them. but they are amazing...

Great pair for my front doors. They provide great highs good mid bass. I would recommend these for price and quality.

Sound and feel great. Hope to add another pair to the rear unless people that have used them think 6X9" of the same brand sound better. Just running off stock head unit but it can make my side mirrors rattle. If anybody has an input please post.

Can't beat this for the price. I bought 3 packs of these speakers and all of them went well on the install. Definitely worth the money and time it took to install. Started install at 10AM and was done by 1:30.

These little speakers pack a punch for the price.  They are not subs so don't expect thundering bass from them, but when used as a stock speaker replacement you will notice a difference. Keep in mind you must seal them to the brackets and also to the door or you will get poor performance. Speakers providing bass is all about air movement.

Over all didn't really fit, had to use stock harness that I had too cut off of original speakers. Sound awesome though. But the over all speaker quality and assembly was good no problem there.

Swapped 2 pairs of these into my 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX STi, front and rear. Powering them with a JL Audio XD700/5 amp makes them sing with the crossover cutting sub bass from getting to them.         If you are looking a budget replacement component set and intend on using a mods/highs 4 channel amp for the power, you will do well with this set.

It's worth the money, easy install, great sound.

A great starter speaker with simple enough installation. The first speaker took me about an hour to install, and the second took about 20 minutes. I had little to no experience with this kind of thing before, but for the price and the amount of labor they required I am super happy with the outcome. Definitely an improvement from my 2005 stick speakers!

Excellent speakers sound great with the 2000 Durango Infinity Factory head and amp. Plus they fit into the door as well as into the door panels with the included grills attached to ensure nothing can damage the speaker. On top of tha tthe instructions for the 2000 Durango stated that in order to install the tweeters I would have to make modifications which is not the case one of the included tweeter mounts actually fits perfectly into the stock tweeter mount all I had to do was use small dab of adhesive ( Weatherstripping, E6000, etc.) to ensure they would not over time rattle etc. Very Happy

Easy to install and sounds

Major sound upgrade! The original speakers were rattling so swapped all with these (with 2-way MTX Terminators in rear). This was my first tweeter swap, and I did have to make my own harness using the included wiring and salvaged Hyundai connectors. I epoxied the tweeters into the existing door grilles. Overall a fun project and a very happy driver!

For the price these are great speakers. Don't expect top notch sound but these are great for the money. Slightly less bass than the factory speakers in 07 Honda accord EX but much more clarity and still have enough bass. For reference, the factory speakers in the EX have much more bass than your typical door speaker. They are more of a mid bass speaker. Still don't need a sub with the MTX's.

Good speakers for a budget price and even better customer service.  One of the tweeters had both wires break off the back of the speaker when I was stripping the wire to attach factory connectors.   I called customer service and they sent me the entire speaker set as a replacement!  I only needed 1 tweeter but now have extras for the other 3.  Highly recommend!

Got these speakers for the front and I am very pleased of the way it sounds. This is by no means a "thumping" speaker which I didn't want but for the price and the way it sounds when I do crank it up loud for those loud songs that you have to roll the window down, it sounds great!! I am very pleased of the way it does handle varieties of different music I throw its way.

Perfect budget friendly upgrade to replace the stock speakers that were past their prime.    To all the reviewers who had stock radios and said they sucked, go replace your stock radios or get an amp! This speakers absolutely need a radio that can power them or an amp to power them.     The stock unit in my 1999 Nissan Frontier King Cab could not power these properly and of course they sounded like crap. Of course that was getting replaced anyways as I wanted something that had Bluetooth. That replacement is a Pyle PLMRL50WB that provides 60W x 4 channels and the difference in sound is as different between night and day!    On a side note: Thank you Crutchfield  for the free adapter plate and plugs! The plugs made the install painless! I actually didn't need to use the adapter plates as the stock speaker mount had enough  flex to install the 6.5 speakers and the tweeters will fit in my 1999 Nissan Frontier King Cab once I'm able to get shorter mounting screws than what came in the box.

All of the extra wires and brackets made installation a breeze! Nice sounds too!

Speakers are fine, instructions for which harness goes to which speaker and when a splice is necessary was no where to be found. I called customer service and got the answers I need to complete installation.

Installed in 2013 Subaru Impreza. Sounds better than the Memphis Audio speakers that were in there. Tweeter fit in the upper door as well, just pop the old one out. Can't see this being beat for the price

Installed in 2004 Dodge 3500 rear doors with four speaker system and factory radio.  Install time was about 45 minutes for both rear doors.  Did have to re-drill hole for one of the three mounting screws.  It does state you will have to drill to install.  I would recommend getting some 3M strip caulk to seal around speaker to prevent any possible wind noise.  Came with harness adapters so no splicing required.

These were a gift for my son.  He had them installed in less than 2 hours.  Sounds great and the price was perfect.  Shipping was quick too.

Easy install with the provided kits and wires. Minor mods to fit stock mounting in. 08 jeep wrangler. The price was great. Sounds way better than the tired stocks we replaced.

2002 mini cooper, these lower door speakers came with the wire and mounting kit( not part of the speakers) which made installation extremely easy, only had to drill one new hole for mounting, the other 2 matched up to existing holes.  speakers sound much better than what i removed which had lost all the foam that holds the woofer to the speaker frame.  as for long term use of these dont know yet, i only installed 1 day ago.

These things came within a day of ordering them and the install and harness set that came with them was great. First time hooking up speakers and everything was cake, minus the tweeters haha. That's my fault though. Sounds great and easy install for a cheap price!

Great product easy install

Great sounding speaker for the price point.  Replaced warn out JBL speakers in 2004 Prius.  In order to use the existing speaker connectors in the car doors I used the existing woofer brackets and harness from the old speakers.  To install the tweeters I used the provided case without the lip on them and a solder iron to melt groves into the housing to snap in existing clips on the door trim.

Sounds great. Replaced my blown stock speakers and am very happy with these.    I did not install the tweeters as my stocks are fine and better with bass.         Highly recommend for replacing speakers and not flexing with the price.

They're pretty good for just replacing stock speakers. Lacking in mid bass. But not a huge problem since I'm building a full system pretty soon

Great sounding speakers for my aftermarket head unit. The clarity is very good for the price range and the teeters are very nice sounding. Can't wIt to hook up my amp to them.

These are an extremely reasonable priced upgrade.  The sound is far superior to the factory set up.  I put these in a Jeep liberty, tweeters went in the factory dash speaker location and the woofers went in the factory door location, with the use of a custom made adaptor plate.  I am using the factory CD player.

Replaced my worn out speakers and they sound great for entry level speakers. I've always been a fan of MTX.

Installed these in my 2002 Toyota 4Runner as a replacement to the infiniti speakers that were old. I have them amped and they sound pretty good. They are decent entry level speaker with clarity and minimal bass. I have a sub as well so there are more of my mid bass speakers. Overall I would recommend and purchase these again due to cost value.

These speakers sound awesome in my 97 Tahoe, installing them was simple with some easy modifications I had to do. I'm running a Alpine Bluetooth/ Cd player into these speakers and good bass response and clear highs

Installing the speakers was really easy.  The And the quality of the product was very very good.

bass speakers fit perfectly with the supplied bracket ... the tweeters needed their mounting assembly trimmed to fit around a mounting hole for the door panel ... a minor problem that required a little thought ... not a bad thing that resulted in a perfect fit. Thanks

This is my second set of Terminators.    For the price point they are very nice sounding speakers

Don't know where these would fit on Festiva. All the holes are the small ones.  Plugged one up and doesn't sound as good as the little one I got.

While they were pretty simple to install, I should have tried to listen to them before I purchased them.  I would have NOT bought them if I knew they would sound so bad.  I hate to say this, but I agree with a lot of other reviews, that the stock speakers sound better.  These are too pitchy and no lows at all.  I also noticed I have to turn up the volume louder than I did before I installed them.  But beware of doing that because once they get too loud, they sound even worse.  I am debating on taking the time to take them out and not using them at all.

Replaced the door components in the Mini Cooper with these. (amp and head unit replaced as well)    Tweeters fit with room to spare, and the mids fit without issue in the front doors.    Sound was fantastic - rivaling (if not better than) the original H/K speakers and system installed at the factory.    The red peeking through the grills is a nice custom touch to the interior.    Only small issue (very minor) was that the speaker wire connectors that came in the box were not very easy to plug into the speaker itself. Again, nothing major - just something that I noticed when doing the install.

I needed 4O woofers to replace the factory 2O 6.5" speakers front and rear in a 2014 Nissan Juke when I replaced the factory head unit for a Carplay-equipped Kenwood Excelon. I didn't want coaxial speakers because I find that the center cutout for the integrated tweeter tends to cut some of the bass response, the tweeters are normally much too bright for my taste, and the car already has integrated component tweeters in the A-pillar from factory. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a component speaker set that can be adequately powered by the receiver without an external amplifier.  This is the perfect product for that purpose, providing much more bass than the factory woofers, and nicely matching the output of most aftermarket receivers.I have had many Infinity Reference, Infinity Kappa, Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, and Kenwood speakers over the years and while all of them provided higher quality sound than factory, it was always at the expense of bass that then needed to be supplemented with a subwoofer. I'm happy to say that the woofers in this set provide more bass than factory speakers, and they still produce quality sound. The tweeters, however, are severely lacking. I replaced one factory tweeter with the MTX to compare side-by-side, and after the comparison, I will be retaining both of the factory a-pillar tweeters.

These speakers are the best of the best for the price. Crutchfield makes it so simple and easy to install. I would recommend critchfield to anyone.

Solid budget speaker set. Bought for 2010 Jeep Wrangler. Fit well in knee panels and tombstone.  They don't blow the doors off but they sound good at all volumes off deck power. Would suggest for entry level upgrade from stock.

Easy installation with the brackets that came for FREE,, when do you get free stuff anymore?? Super simple, did both doors in about an hour and a half, with no wire splicing thanks to the harness fitting properly, didn't order the head unit with an amp yet but factory with no amp the speakers sound really good. The tweeters fit easily in the door panel (I did not order the harness) but I just cut the harness from the old tweeters and wired them so I could still just plug and play. Overall 5 stars, shipment arrived quickly and super easy install for a great sound! Thanks crutchfield!

The factory speakers were shot. Once the MTX subs and tweeters were installed, the crisp, clean sound was extremely satisfying to my ear holes.

I got these to run off my factory headunit as a cheap upgrade to the factory speakers. They greatly improved sound quality and I am very satisfied. I suspect they have even more potential if I were to upgrade to an aftermarket headunit.

Fantastic sound and clarity!

Installed in Mk3 cabrio rear location. In order to fit tweeter in old tweeter location, required some plastic cutting.  Had to remove full door card and speaker mount to get it right. Looks perfect and sounds excellent. Super pleased.

Best set without amplifier

Bought these to upgrade the factory speakers in my Tundra Crewmax and they really woke up the factory head unit. Crisp and clear sound instead of a somewhat dull sound before. Very cost effective upgrade and the included installation hardware made it easy to do.

I'll say the same thing I've said in a few other reviews of my new system...for the price you cannot beat them. Running a mini Sony amp to these and they sound pretty darn great, tweeters release notes and sounds I never heard with my stock system. Would buy again.

Amazing Speakers! Very loud and smooth!

I installed these, plus some 6x9s in my sons Honda Accord.        I must say, I am pleasantly surprised at how good they sound! My son was very impressed, especially with the bass from the 6x9s.        These are definitely a great bang for your buck. The sound is smooth and crisp, but not at all harsh. I almost regret buying JBL Concert series for my 4Runner. These sound very,very good for the price.

Excellent sound quality

Not the bass of some of the higher priced component systems, but clear and clean sound from a factory head unit and enough power handling for an aftermarket unit. If you have a sub to round out the system, these are a good choice. Their performance is better if you add in a full crossover, but the capacitor caps that come with it suffice for most applications.     I've found that after a break in period they are substantially better, but will just don't have the frequency response or SPL of units 2x or 3x the price, but hard to beat in their price class. For me, I'm good using them in the front doors and stepping up to a higher priced set for the rear deck (with room for those big crossover blocks). Dealing with external crossovers in doors is a pain, so these are an excellent compromise.

These speakers are DEFINITE upgrade from the stock Chevy speakers. For the price and even running off the stock head unit these sound awesome. Can't wait to upgrade the head unit now!

Outpunches it's weight class for the price. Great clarity and great volume with a 45 watt amp in line. Replaced my stock speakers and kept the stock head so amp was required, and once it was in line, whoa. Been taking the long way home a few days just to appreciate the thumps.

Needed cheap components for a beater truck, and these fit the bill. Be gentle during install, everything is bendy, but they went in and sound fine. Lows are punchy enough (sealed behind with baffles), mids are fine, highs arent as bright as I'd like, but passable.

Bought with Crutchfield account points for my Company-owned work truck (Silverado front doors leak water, which destroys the factory speakers). After applying the points they only cost me $1 and change, which is awesome! Replaced the pillar-mounted tweeters as well using hot glue). The drivers and tweeters are, of course, much better quality than OEM. I'm perfectly happy with the transaction, especially since it only cost me $1 but would have been at $70 too.    Made a "rain hood" out of the foam speaker baffles in an attempt to prolong speaker life...we'll see.    Even if I didn't use my points Crutchfield threw in wiring adapters, mounting adapters, and install instructions for free, making the price competitive with other retailers.

Great sounding speakers and tweeters, but the three stars are for what I received and didn't receive. Its looks like i was sent and open box item, the connector for the tweeter was clearly used and positive connection was cut. I also did not receive the female connectors as shown in my invoice. Overall I have had great experience with Crutchfield but this makes me wonder about what really is new.

Pretty decent little speakers. Big improvement

Easy to install. Came with lots of options for installation and grill covers. Tweeters came with surface mount or flush mount options. Also all screws and brackets needed. I decided to do a flush mount on my 2018 Camaro SS and it was extremely easy to do with a hole saw.        Speakers sound very good; especially for the money. The stock GM OEM speakers were very harsh around 4khz. OEM Speakers had a large spike that I could not tune out with the OEM head unit. These speakers sound great all around without any noticeable spikes. They even have better Bass than the factory 6x9's.        I have always been happy with MTX.

I chose these to replace the single range speakers in the doors of my 2000 Nissan Pathfinder.  The replacement Bose speakers were insanely expensive.  The MTX Terminator 6S fit the factory enclosures with no difficulty and work fantastically with the Bose amplifiers.  Crisp highs, full mid range and really good bass response at 20% of the price of factory replacements!

Very easy install even for a beginner. Big improvement from stock speakers. Not as much range as I hoped but still happy!

Need to pay attention to the assembly process the mount was glued on crooked had to re-drill mounting holes on 1 speaker. Cup that holds tweeter needs redesigned, no way to route wires w/out crushing them and breaking them off when the tweeter is seated , I had to dremel out the back of the cup . Other than that I'd say they fit great and sound even better. you can hear the highs outta the tweeter. This was a simple install and Crutchfield made it even better. I called to return the tweeter and they sent me a new set of speakers no questions asked and paid for the return shipping. If that isn't customer service I don't know what is.

Sound Great. When I was ordering was told by Crutchfield rep I needed metal straps to make new brackets. There were not needed I was able to use the old brackets. Also same rep did not return calls when he told me by email to call about the speakers.

I am very happy with the MTX Terminator6S speakers! I originally installed some Pioneer 2-way speakers which couldn't handle the bass. The MTX speakers are way better and really pump out some bass!

After installing, I noticed cymbal wash & sustain in old 70's rock songs I hadn't noticed before! They even have nice bottom end despite only being 6.5 inches diameter. These fit my 2011 Sorento perfectly with the adapter & wiring harness Crutchfield provided.     I am well pleased!

Tweeter wiring is fragile.  Woofers sound good.

Honestly I don't know how these got a few bad reviews! I got these and the 6x9s and wow do they sound great! Very surprised running off the stock deck and the sound I'm getting! Gonna get last set ordered right up!

These are durable and a good value and provides a much needed sound improvement. Replaced stock Pioneer speakers on Scion xD 09.    The speaker is easy to replace. The tweeters not so much.

These speakers sound amazing, but directions on connecting them is as clear as mud. I called and asked and even the tech wasn't 100% sure. The connectors on back make it very difficult to hook tweeter and wire harness too.

Fantastic value. Replaced the rotted door speakers on a 2009 Scion xB. So these are a huge bass improvement. They look well made and good for at least another 10 years on this car. It was the lowest priced choice that also included new separate tweeters. Thrilled with the high frequencies now too. The install was easy, no surprises. Used hot glue on the tweeters. I did remove the plug-in conenctors off the old tweeters so I had a cleaner install. It is worth the effort. It also helped me better understand the capacitor at the tweeter is in series with the + wire.  The Crutchfield instructions excellent in helping me gather the right tools. Cant figure out why anyone would shop anywhere else.

Great upgrade over stock door speakers. I didn't use the tweeters as the stock tweeters sound good and it would be a pain in the a$$ to make the MTX tweeters work.

Wonderful speakers. Actually just ended up turning off my stock rear speakers until I get my 3 way Fosgates in my rear doors because they make a world of difference alone. No instructions whatsoever with the actual speakers but that's not Crutchfields fault because they pick up the slack.

These are a significant upgrade over my stock kia sorento door speakers.  They are perfect for the price and serve the purpose for being loud and sound great!

These sound decent but definitely need a proper amp to get there. For the price they are certainly the best choice for a budget build.

As always,  crutchfield is awesome! Been doing business with them since the early 90's        Took off a star because trying to lock the tweeter into there base is a pain. Thought they were going to break trying.     Other then that the speakers sound very good with my aftermarket radio.
